Scratch for Windows and Makey Makey
In this computer programming and coding camp, kids combine musical, artistic, and computer skills to create interactive games. By integrating if-then statements, loops, variables, and subroutines, summer campers learn the foundation of all coding languages. However, in this particular coding camp kids use Scratch visual programming language. Scratch is simple to learn but powerful in what it allows kids to accomplish with code.
In addition to Scratch, kids use Makey Makey invention hardware to turn everyday objects into computer controls. Furthermore, computer programs created in this tech camp are playable on Windows computers. Each program that the kids create in the camp is saved on a complimentary USB drive to share with friends and family.
A full 5-day week of camp – which is the best option – costs $259. This year we have two holidays that land during camp weeks: June 20-23, 2023 and July 3, 5-7, 2023. The cost for a shortened week is $209.
