This is a summer role for a STEAM Teacher at Classroom Antics. The STEAM Teacher will be responsible for preparing for and executing our engaging lessons in two STEAM subjects for students. This is an on-site role located in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area and the Cincinnati, Ohio, Metropolitan Area, and the Cleveland, Ohio, Metropolitan Area. Seasonal, full-time employment.

Responsibilities
Prepare by using our training materials and procedures to be ready for camp.
Implement our engaging STEM activities for campers, fostering a love for learning.
Supervise and ensure the safety of children during camp activities, maintaining a positive environment.
Manage classroom behavior and promote teamwork among campers.
Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding camper progress and needs.
Utilize organizational and time management skills to plan daily schedules and activities.
Provide support for children with special needs, adapting lessons as necessary.

This is a summer role for a Camp Manager at Classroom Antics. The Camp Manager will be responsible for running the camps administratively and acting as a substitute instructor as needed. You would have up to 48 students and 4 teachers to be responsible for. We have two managers to share the responsibilities. This is an on-site role located in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. Seasonal, full-time employment.
Columbus: 8 weeks manager
Columbus: last 4 weeks assistant manager

Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Learning all of our summer programs through training videos and lesson plans
Conducting site-visits the week prior to each camp
Driving a full-size van of camp equipment to and from camp on Mondays and Fridays
Preparing for camp the week prior to its start
Directing and assisting staff during setup and breakdown of camp
Setting up and attending the welcome table
Assisting parents with questions or concerns
Assisting campers as needed
Tending all-day campers with instructors during the lunch break
Assisting instructors as needed
Substitute for an instructor as needed
Representing Classroom Antics in a positive and professional way

Work Location: In person at camp location
The After-School Program Teacher will be in charge of up to 15 students in grades K-6 for one hour STEAM after-school programs that can meet weekly for up to 10 weeks per program. Instructors must be available Monday-Thursday between the hours of 2pm-5pm. You can choose to work one afternoon or multiple afternoons per week at various locations. We are currently in Terrace Park, Mariemont, Harrison and Bridgetown North.
Duties/Responsibilities
Paid Per Diem: $75 per lesson taught (the per day rate includes reviewing curriculum/preparing materials at home, travel to the school, teaching a 60-90 minute class and emailing families later that day)
Prepares lesson based on provided curriculum and materials
Distributes materials to students
Instructs lessons according to provided curriculum
Differentiates lessons according to student needs
Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents
Updates program manager frequently
Resolves student or parent issues as they arise with assistance from the program manager
Requirements
College students studying Education are good candidates.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
Classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is beneficial.
Skills in special education practices are a plus for accommodating diverse learners.
First aid certification is desirable for ensuring student safety.
A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all students is essential.
