Did you know you can use your existing LEGO Mindstorms NXT robotics hardware equipment with the new LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robotics software? It’s true! All the training you received in our LEGO EV3 Robotics Camp is applicable to your NXT equipment you may already have at home!

While the new EV3 hardware has some new motors and sensors, you don’t have to throw away your existing NXT robotics kit. LEGO made the two products (NXT and EV3) compatible.

The only thing that isn’t compatible is that you can’t use the LEGO Mindstorms NXT software on the EV3 hardware. And you wouldn’t want to do this anyways, as the new LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robotics software is vastly superior and easier-to-use than the older NXT robotics software.
